Plausible Integration
To integrate Plausible with Monitorator, and view the visit data from each of your websites on Plausible within the Monitorator dashboards, here is what you need to do:
1. Log into your Plausible account. At the top right, go to Settings.
2. In the API Keys section, click on the button to generate a new API key.
3. Name this API key something identifiable (for example: Monitorator) and copy the key.
Keep in mind that with the API key, we only have read access to your data. We cannot modify your Plausible data. If you revoke access in the future, then the synchronization from Monitorator will result in an error.
4. Log into your Monitorator account. Access "My Integrations" from the dropdown menu (top left corner).
5. Click on "Add new integration" and select Plausible.
6. Fill in the fields.
- In the base url field, you need to put the domain of your Plausible server.
- In the Site ID field, you need to specify the identifier of the website you want to synchronize with Monitorator. Typically, this is each of the domains of the websites you have in Plausible.
- In the token field, paste the API key value that we generated in Plausible.
- In the related Project field, select which Project you have created in Monitorator to assign these data that will be synchronized daily from Plausible.
Questions, answers, and recommendations:
- You can use the same API key for several projects. For example, if you have all your websites under the same Plausible account.
- You can also have different Plausibles (for example, agencies with different clients and accounts) synchronized with a single Monitorator account through multiple integrations.
- You can have 5 websites in your Plausible account and only synchronize data from 4 of those projects in Monitorator. It is not mandatory to synchronize all your Plausible websites with Monitorator.
